I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

In addition to my more extensive
guides, I have written a number of smaller ones that provide efficiency
information on very specific subjects. Since these arent really
big enough to warrant their own sections, and dont really fit
in well anywhere else, I decided to make this mini-guides
area to collect them in.
Here is a list of the mini-guides
currently available:
Healing Efficiency Guide: Foods differ
primarily in three ways: how much they heal; how many bites it takes
to eat them; and how much they cost. In some situations you just want
the best food you can carry, but in many others, you want to get the
best possible bang for your buck: the most healing for the
least gold. The RuneScoop Healing Efficiency Guide shows you key details
about most of the commonly-used foods in RuneScape, and lets you rank
them by healing power, cost, or overall efficiency (LP of healing per
1,000 gold pieces of cost).
Miscellania Resource Optimization Guide:
After completing the quest Throne of Miscellania, you become
the regent of the tiny northern island, and can hire its citizens to
gather useful resources for you. But which resource provides the most
value? Answering this question is not simple, because the workers gather
not just the primary resource you set them to, but also bonus items
that are somewhat random and can be quite valuable. After many years
of struggling with this myself, I conducted extensive research and determined
the value of all of the items obtained by a Miscellania worker from
any of the ten resource options you can assign them. I calculate the
total and put them in a simple sorted table, which is updated daily
for your convenience.
Combat Spell Efficiency Guide: Recent
changes to RuneScape, such as staves that increase magic damage, and
new extreme potions, have made magic combat a more viable option. Unfortunately,
theyve also made the skill much more complicated. The Combat Spell
Efficiency Guide will help you determine which combination of spell
and staff provides either the fastest or the most cost-efficient kills,
based on your Magic level, any boosting potions you are using, and the
monster you are fighting.
Summoning Pouch and Scroll Efficiency Guide:
Youve killed waterfiends, youve trained Slayer, and you
find yourself with hundreds or even thousands of Summoning charms. Youre
ready to make pouches, or maybe scrolls, but which ones? Some give more
XP than others, but at what cost? And what should you do with the items
after you make them? This guide will tell you.
Barrows Kill Count Optimization Guide:
You like doing The Barrows, but youve always wondered about kill
count: how many of those pesky monsters should you bother to kill before
opening the chest? Based on extensive testing, Ive created a new
mini-guide that takes your personal parameters for doing The Barrows
and generates a table that shows you the impact of kill count on the
value of the items you get.
Stay tuned for more mini-guides,
coming soon!
