Please Whitelist This Site?

I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.

One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.

If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Preparing for Dungeoneering

With traditional dungeon raiding—such as planning a trip to the Dagannoth Kings or God Wars Dungeon—a big part of ensuring success is preparing properly in advance. You have to decide what gear to wear, what supplies to bring, who should carry what special equipment and so forth. Improper preparation usually means a short and/or disastrous trip.

Well, none of that applies to doing a Dungeoneering floor. :)

Because of how the skill works, you cannot take any gear into Daemonheim, so there is no planning or preparation involved when it comes to equipment or supplies. In fact, the prep work needed in that regard is making sure you have banked everything you are carrying or wearing, because you can only enter a dungeon with a ring of kinship and possibly orb of Oculus.

The only other form of preparation required for Dungeoneering is making sure you know what you want to do. You need to decide if you want to play solo or in a team, and if the latter, whether you want to make your own team or try to join someone else’s.

If you plan to be in a team, you should also check which floors you still need to do in your current prestige run. Players will advertise floors they are getting teams together for, and you need to know which floors match the ones you haven’t done yet.

You also have to decide on the overall strategy you want to use for the floor or floors you plan to do. You need to figure out floor size, the complexity level you’re going to use, difficulty, and whether you plan to “rush” or do the floor more conventionally.
